After 7 years with doors shuttered, Serotta restarted in 2020 offering three titanium complete bikes – the road Duetti, all-road Modomio & gravel Scappero. Now, those have further evolved with the Modomio being replaced by the “mostly gravel, some pavement” Scappero, and a new “rough gravel” Scappero Plus+ being added with bigger tires.
Leading into his 50th year building bikes, Ben Serotta adds three new “Yes You Can” ways to buy one: frameset-only, complete bikes built with your favorite local shop, and ultra-premium concierge service where they don’t know the meaning of the word ‘No’.
Yes You Can buy a titanium frameset only
The biggest single change is that Serotta is finally letting customers buy a custom frameset on its own, at least to a limited extent. Ben Serotta admits that even they can’t get every premium groupset & component they want due to current supply chain constraints.
So, Serotta opened a select number of frame-only build slots for customers to order a new bike – rim or disc brake – and build it up with trusted components they already have at home or have sourced through careful online sleuthing.

That also leads to the next shift – now you can get your new Serotta bike via your favorite independent bike shop or fit studio. As long as the shop is qualified with proven bike fit capability and a pro-level mechanic to build & service your new custom ti bike, Serotta will work directly with a shop you know and love, to get you on a new custom ti bike.

Lastly, there’s also a new super-premium Serotta Concierge Shopping Experience, too.
For those “connoisseurs” of cycling tech & ephemera, Serotta will let the pickiest buyers choose every wild or rare component they want for a complete build (as long as Serotta deems it safe). Serotta will source it all and send you the bill.
