Dyed in the Wool BLB F*%k Putin bikepacking Ukraine raffle
Brick Lane Bikes and Dyed in the Wool teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind set of custom “F*%k Putin” bikepacking bags in a raffle to raise money for the people suffering from the war in Ukraine. At the same time, they’ve introduced us to the handmade bag maker in Poland with an amazing level of customization – from standard lightweight fabrics to completely custom-printed designs, for everything from bikepacking to camera bags.
F*%k Putin bikepacking bag Ukraine raffle
With the clear message of “F*%k Putin” at the heart of their collaboration – and printed inside the bags in as many languages they could come up with on short notice – urban bike specialist Brick Lane Bikes London asked bagmaker Dyed in the Wool to help raise money for those suffering in the Russian war in Ukraine.
The result is a set of six custom-printed DITW bags: blue & yellow fade on the outside, and “на хуй Путін/ебать Путина” (Fuck Putin) on the inside – conveniently translated into at least Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, and more to make sure the message is clear.
Included in the custom X-Pac set is a Seat Pack, a mid-sized Full Frame Bag, Top Tube Bag, two Stem Bags, and a Bar Roll – which in standard colors would retail for a total of around 750€.
To have a chance to win the bags, all you have to do is donate at least £10 on the F*%k Putin project’s Just Giving fundraiser page (here), ticking the box ‘I’m happy to be contacted by Brick Lane Bikes’ so they can select winners.
All money raised goes to The British Red Cross Society’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal fund supporting those in need on the ground with food, hygiene & clothing supplies.
In addition to the big custom bag set, 3 more supporters will win a single custom DITW bag in simple blue & yellow, signed by Lachlan Morton who recently did a 1000km ride from Munich to the Ukrainian border raising over €200k for Ukraine. Donate as many times as you want to enter by next Sunday, April 3. Winners will be drawn and announced on Monday the 4th.
Dyed in the Wool bikepacking bags x Brick Lane Bikes
Besides the fact that the folks behind Brick Lane Bikes share Polish origins with the Warsaw-based Dyed in the Wool, the collaboration also comes on top of BYB adding DITW to their product line-up. Customers in the London fixie shop as well as through BLB’s international distribution, will now be able to order Dyed in the Wool bags.
The custom F*%k Putin bags show off a bit of DITW’s capabilities – highlighted by the ability to custom print lightweight X-Pac material, as well as to craft bags from durable Cordura or ultralight Dyneema fabrics, too.
All DITW bags are made to order by hand, so you can always pick unique color combinations for no extra charge, and they can custom make bags to perfectly fit your bike.
Core bags like the 6-12L Seat Pack start at 135€ in Cordura, 165€ in X-Pac & 235€ in Dyneema while the smaller adaptable 2.5L Bar Roll sells for 89/105/198€, respectively.
